KILLED IN COLLISION

MAN THROWN OVER A CLIFF. BOLTING HORSE DASHES INTO CATAMARAN. Pi-ess Association. AUCKLAND, February 6. A settler of Leigh named Handley was killed to-day. The deceased was driving a catamaran and at a narrow point of the road with a drop of seventy feet into a creek met a .runaway diay of another settler. Tho bolting horse dashed into Handley’s catamaran and sent him over the edge, his .body crashing down the hank to the creek below. When taken out it was seen his case was desperate, and after lingering for about an hour and a half in an unconscious state tho unfortunate man breathed his last. The deceased, who was sixty years of age, leaves a grown-np family- He was highly respected in the district.
