LAND REFORM
MR LLOYD GEORGE’S PROPOSALS (Received February 4, 9.65 p.m.) LONDON, February 4. The "Daily Chronicle” denies that Mr Lloyd George proposes to deal with agricultural wages on a national baste, and adds that district or county wages boards would meet the local conditions. The “Daily News and Leader” states that a set-off to a minimum wage would be a fair rent with fixity of tenure for the farmer, and also compensation for disturbance with an allowance for Improvements.
