AUSTRALIAN MEAT
NECESSITY FOB IMPROVING STOCK STRAINS, (Received February 4, 9-50 pan.) MELBOURNE, February 4. Mr Cherry, the veterinary inspector attached to the Commonwealth office in London, in a report, urges the necessity of improving Australian stock strains for beef and mutton purposes. He says that he saw at Swift’s shops in Smithfield a display of Argentine beef and mutton which had been dressed in England.
