A BANKRUPT BUILDER

COMMITTED FOR TRIAL ON TWELVE CHARGES. Press Association. AUCKLAND. February 3. Twelve charges arising out of his recent bankruptcy were preferred against Oliver Edward Farrow, a builder, in the Police Court to-day. For the prosecution, Mr Mays said the charges could roughly be divided iuto three groups: Firstly, rash speculation; secondly, obtaining credit by means of a fraudulent balance-sheet; and, thirdly, obtaining credit without reasonable expectation of being able to pay back what was owing. Accused pleaded not guilty, and reserved his defence. He was committed for trial.
