MURDERERS EXECUTED
TWO ENGLISH TRAGEDIES.
LONDON, January 29. John Williams, the murderer of Police-Inspector Walls, and Edward Hopwood, the murderer of Flo Dudley, were hanged this morning.
In September last Flo Dudley, a music* hall artist and a well-known principal, boy in pantomime was shot three times by Hopwood and killed in a taxi-cab in Fenchurch street. Hopwood was a wellknown business man. and director of a city company. He was arrested whites attempting to commit suicide. A will was found in Ms pocket bequeathing .F2OOO to tho womans child. Hopwood pleaded that Dudley was accidentally shot whilst striving to prevent him committing suicide. Williams shot Inspector Walls at the house of Countess Sztaray in Eastbourne on October 9th. The police received information that there were burglars in tho house, and when inspector Walls was investigating, ho surprised Williams, who shot him and mado his escape.
