COTTON DEVELOPMENT
INTEREST ON THE SUDAN LOAN. LONDON, January 23. Tho Premier (.Mr Asquith) informed a deputation that the Government would pay the interest on the Sudan loan of £’3,000,000 for the development of cotton. It is believed that the burden on the British taxpayer will be inappreciable.
