EPIDEMIC ON BOARD THE SHIP AUCKLAND.
(PER PRESS AGENCY.) Port Chalmers, Wednesday. The Albion Company’s ship Auckland arrived yesterday, 88 days from Glasgow, with 455 immigrants and 43 saloon passengers. Eorty cases of measles have occurred during the voyage. The last case was convalescent yesterday. There were seven deaths—six infants and one adult—and five births. The passengers will be placed on the Quarantine Island, and the ship thoroughly fumigated before receiving pratique.
