SUPPOSED WRECK OF THE UNDINE.
MURDER OF A BOAT’S CREW. (pee press agencl.) Auckland, Saturday. Levuka (Fiji) papers of late date just received here contain the following items : —• The schooner Undine is missing. She is supposed to have been wrecked between Auo and Levuka, Two vessels have been sent in search. The schooner Stanley has returned from a labor cruise. She reports losing one of her boats with four men during a gale. The captain says possibly the boat may have reached the shore. The captain also reports that a Fijian Government agent, with the mate aud a boat's crew of the Mystery, have been murdered at the island of Aoba. Mr. Smith, another Government agent, was also fired at by the natives of Eromanga, but escaped. H.M.S. Cormorant has sailed to Torres Straits to receive Sir Arthur Gordon from the mail steamer, when he will virit New Guinea, New Britain, and other islands, returning to Fiji iu July.
