(P£U MESS AGENOV.) Auckland, Saturday.

“ Nimrod” in his sporting notes to the Star says : At last there is a probability of Auckland have a stud company. Several gentlemen having taken the -matter up lately, and are going into the matter properly. The capital is to be £IO,OOO, in a thousand shares of £lO each. In a few days the prospectus will be issued, and then I expect to see a rush for the shares, as with proper management it ought to pay at least twenty per cent, per annum. The Pakuranga Hunt Club commence their season next Saturday. CuniSTCnoucit, Saturday.

The following acceptances and general entries were received to-night for the Grand National Steeplechase meeting : Maiden Plate of £IOO. —Harkaway, Noumai, Silverstream, Loch Lomond, Moonlight, and Black Prince.

Grand National Steeplechase of 200 sovs.— Eversley, Agent, Lone Hand (Muir’s), Loyalty, Silverstream, Hoyalty, Grey Momus, The Lad, Te Whetu, Moose, Ivanhoo, and Fakir. Hunt Club Cup of 150 sovs. —Everdey, Agent, Lone Hand (Muir's), Lorh Lomond, The Lad, Ivanhoe, Alma, Te Whetu. Neilson’s Lone Hand did not accept. , A match for £3OO a side between Mr. Evans’ g m Milly, and Mr. Milner’s b g Black Boy, took place to-day. The distance was 15 miles on the Riccarton-x-oad. Mr. A. Sanders acted as starter, and Captain Douglas as referee. Both horses went off well, Black Boy taking the lead, which he held to the finish, winning by a long distance, in 47min. There was a large number of spectators. A good deal of money changed hands on the event. The racing stock lately imported from Australia, the property of Mr. H. Prince, was offered for sale by auction to-day, but all were withdrawn, the reserve price not being reached. Ddnedin, Saturday.
