The barque Malay, which has been recently purchased here, ha; been undergoing extensive repairs and alterations. A number of shipwrights have been busily employed on her for the last fortnight. She will clear at the Customs today, and probably leave during the afternoon. The steamer Wallace, for Blenheim, left 1 <st night. The barque Ann Melhuish. for Newcastle, and the schooner Cynthia, for Pclorua Sound, cleared at the Customs yesterday. The schooner Ruby was busy loading bricks yesterday for Kaikoara. She sails on Monday. The Marmion has nearly completed discharging her timber. The Taiaroa left Manukau Heads at 6.16 on Wednesday morning; had strong north-west breeze and moderate sea, aud arrived in Taranaki roadstead at 4 o'clock same afternoon, and landed mails and passengers only, the sea being too heavy for landing cargo ; proceeded to NVlson at G, and arrived alongside the NeUon wharf at 3 p.m. on the 21st; sailed again at half past 4 same afternoon; experienced fresh southwest breeze and smooth sea. and arrived here at 3 yesterday mornning. She sailed again at noon for the South. The Ringarooma left Sandridge pier at 4,20 on the afternoon of the istli, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 7,23, passed Swan Island at 2.15 next morning, and arrived at llobnrton at 11 o’clock on the morning of the 15th, having experienced moderate northerly winds from Sandridge to Swan Island, thence strong westerly and south-westerly winds, with fine weather. Left Hobarton at 5 same evening, ami experienced fresh to strong north-west and south-west winds; passed the Solanders at Ji df-past 9 on the evening of the 13th, and arrived off Bluff harbor at half-past 3 next morning; left at 4.40 same afternoon, and arrived at Port Chalmers at half-past 4 on Wednesday morning ; left again at 4.50 p.m., and arrived at Lyttelton at 0.10 on Thursday morning ; left same day at 5, and arrived in Wellington at 8.10 yesterday morning.
