Thursday. October 17. The proceedings opened with pr»r*r. Tho minutes ol tho former meeting were read and confirmed. .. , , ~ Tho Clerical Secretary mentioned that Mr. Clarke was absent from illness. Moved by Mr. Pottles, seconded by Mr. Williavs, —That this Synod desires to record its thanks to the lady collectors for their active exertions in obtaining subscriptions and donations to the diocesan fund.— Carried. Mr. Pottles obtained leave to amend ms motion, so that it shall read,—That tho Synod go Into committee to consider the atandiag orders as brought up by the committee on standing orders. The Synod went Into committee, and tho standing orders as amended were adopted. Moved by Mr. Didsburt, seconded by Mr. Pottles, —ihat the Synod go into committee to report on tne Church Chronicle .- Carried.
