FEATHERSTON EXTENSION.

We have received the following memorandum from the Public Works Office The official opening will take place on Wed: . \ nesday next, the 16 th instant. ' The special train will leave Wellington station at 8.45 a.m,, and will leave Feather«tou on return journey at 3 p.m., reaching Wellington about 7 o’clock. We are re jiieated to state, for the information of tho*o who received invitations for the special train last Saturday, that their tickets will be available on Wednesday as above. The Governor has promised to join the special train on Wednesday. 'The ne w time-taxi* will come into operation on Thursday, the 17th in.-tunt, J. Lawson, Commissioner of Railways.
