MESSRS. T. K. MACDONALD AND CO.’S GREAT FORTNIGHTLY LAND SALE.
There was a crowded attendance at the Exchange Land Mart yesterday, when Mr. Macdonald submitted for sale a moat extensive and valuable f election of properties both in town and country. The bidding was spirited, and the prices realised are only another of the many indications how rapidly land is rising in value in the city. Prior to entering upon the sale Mr. Macdonald made a few oreliminary remarks, comparing the prices realised at land sales in Christchurch and Dunedin with those obtained in Wellington, and showed clearly that Wellington land is not half the price of that in the sister cities, and that, it could not by any means be deemed to have reached anything like its maximum value.
