OFFICIAL DEOLAKAIIOX OF;THE POLE:' 1 The. official declaration of the result of the poll taken at the recent election for the city was declared, by Mr. J.- .C. Crawford, the returning officer,' opposite, the Supreme Court House yesterday. at:noon. ■ Owing doubtless to the inclement weather there were only one or two electors and none of the candidates present. There was no alteration in the numbers declared on the day of election, and Mr. George Elliott Barton was accordingly declared duly elected by a majority of 43 votes.
