PRESENTMENTS
At the Supreme Court yesterday the following presentments were made by the Grand Jury : “ The Grand Jurors desire to present to your Honor, that from evidence given before them, they have reason to believe that no legal provision exists in this district for keeping an official record of the brands or descriptions of cattle slaughtered by batchy—consider that the absence of such a record is likely in many cases to cause a difficulty in tracing stolen cattle, and so tend to a miscarriage of justice. “ The Grand Jurors further desire cnee more to present to your Honor the very insufficient and miserable nature of the accommodation provided for the Courtspf Justice iu this city, and the urgent necessity which exists for an improvement therein. “ J. Dransfikld, Foreman.”
His Honor said the presentment would be forwarded to the proper quarter. .The matter of insufficient accommodation provided for the Courts of Justice was under consideration.
