AMUSEMENTS.
THE LINGARDS. The Liugards open at the Theatre Royal to-night, in the celebrated comedy “ Our Boys,” Mr. W. H. Lingard appearing as Perkin Middlewiclr, and Miss Lingard as May Melrose. BACHELDER’S PANTASCOPE. This highly popular entertainment opened to a good house at the Odd Fellows’ Hall last evening. The pictures are well mounted, well illuminated, and in every respect are thorough works of art. In several scenes, such as the naval encounter and the enchanted palace and silver lake, the mechanism must be very complete, for the effect'produced is in a word unique. The management announce a matinee for Saturday. THE GIANT, This exhibition continues to draw well, and on Saturday Mr. Choukiczee is sure to have a largely-attended levee, seeing that presents are promised to children. To-day his Excellency the Governor will patronise the Giant.
