The Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington yesterday was as follows;

The "amount of Customs duties received at this port for the week ending December 4, 1875, was as under:—

In the import markets trade has been rather quiet during the past week, and restricted to the supply of current wants, no large lines having come under notice. Values continue lower than suits importers views, but as stocks continue to accumulate we cannot see much prospect of improving rates until shippers regulate their shipments to our need. Quotations are consequently unaltered nominally from our last report, though lower rates would be accepted to effect colonial produce there is little change. Keg butter meets with little inquiry at 9d. to lOd. for Home cure, there being no demand for export Bacon continues in active demand, and the New Zealand Provision Company’s cure sells readily at Is. id. per lb. for bacon, and Is. 4d. per lb. for hams. Cheese is worth lid. per lb., there being none in first hands.. Flour shows symptoms of improvement, and Canterbury and Oamaru mills are firm at £ll 10s. to £l2 for sacks. Oats move off freely at former rates; 700 sacks, ex Oreti from Canterbury, haying been cleared in lots of 100 sacks at 2a. 9d. to 2s. lid." per bushel: Milling sorts are quoted at 3s. 3d. There is no wheat in this market. Fowls' feed is scarce, and worth 4s. per bushel. Maize dull at 4s. M.
