The first meeting of the recently elected Lethbridge Local Board was held in the courthouse, Turakiua, on Monday afternoon, 4th inst, at-2 p.m.; as appointed by the - Superintendent. Present—Messrs. Gr, Y. Lethbridge, 0. Cameron, R; J. Knox, J. Steadman, and G-. Franklin.: '.., , .
.-'.■:■ :,. MINUTES. ...•.-■ The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. ■'■:.•.' ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. On the motion of Mr. Knox, seconded by Mi-. Franklin, Mr. George Yates Lethbridge was unanimously re-elected chairman. revision of ratebook. ■ On the motion of Mr. Knox, seconded by Mr. Franklin, it was resolved that the Board be constituted a committee for the purpose of revising the ratebook, and that the committee meet for that purpose on Monday, the 11th instant. . inspection of ratebook. It was resolved that the Secretary be instructed to give notice, by advertisement in the' local paper, that the ratebook will be open for inspection at the Board's office daily, for thirty-one days, from and after the lith inst. ... .-.,..;'..•' <■■ auditor. It was resolved that Mr. R. J. Harris, of Marton, be requested to act as auditor, and that on his signifying his willingness to act, the Secretary submit that gentleman's name to the Superintendent. , ;, r i. i . TREASURER. "...
