Ale .. .. 103 3 9 shipping, &c. 102 6 7 Tea .. .. 174 8 6 Coffee .. .. 59 18 6 Sugar .... 124 110 £5414 10 2 The arrival of the Teviotdale and Rodney, which are now discharging, has apparently created a greater activity in the import trade than was apparent at the close of last week ; hut we do not hear of any amount of real business being done. Still, everything looks promising, and business generally is on a safe footing, we may anticipate a better report at the end of this month than we are able to give just now. Prices remain about the same as those quoted last week, and stocks are not lighter by the addition of the two English ships' cargoes : but as both town and country retailers have boen cautions in their purchases for some time back, present wholesale stocks may not prove so excessive as at first sight might be supposed. At Mr. E. J. Duncan’s sale of Adelaide flour on Tuesday last, the following lots were cleared:—l6 tons Eowet and Hooper’s brand, at £l2 per ton ; 15 tons Hank's, £l2 15s. ; 25 tons Dunn's, £l3 10s.: 15 Crawford’s, £ll 155.; 20 Margery's £l3 155.: 2 Duffield’s, £l3 10s. In New Zealand produce we report no change. Cheese continues scarce, and is readily placed at lid. to Hid. per lb. Butter in kegs dull, at lid. to Is. per lb. for prime cure. Flour stationary, at £ll to £l2 10s. for sacks. Oats move off in small trade lots, at 3s. sd. to 3s. 7d. per bushel, stocks heavy. Hams and bacon scarce and much wanted. BY TELEGRAPH.
