Brann's school, Wellington, 7 years. * The candidates whose names are marked with an ' passed their examin'ation in accordance with the following proviso to clause I) of the regulations : “But in respect of cadets in the Engineer’s branch of the Public AVorks Department, plane trigonometry may be substituted for Latin as a compulsory subject; but any candidate availing himself of the exception will not be considered as having passed the senior examination in respect of the other branches of the service."
