TUESDAY, Nov. 6th.
Bushman was the favourite at starting, as Slipper had been sold since the last year's meeting to the maories. The result of the race however disappointed Bushman's backers, as Clipper kept the lead throughout both heats. Bushman was ridden the first heat by Mr. Skipwith, and the second heat by Wintringham.
