SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
The Legislative Council of South Australia have passed a bill securing to Messrs. Penny and Owen the right of exclusively using for ten years a method of smelting ore, which they have discovered.
Mount Remarkable Mines. — The pro-
prietors of these mines having resolved to proceed further in developing the minerals on this survey. Mr. Finke, accompanied by a strong party of miners, sail for Spencer's Gulf this evening, Nov. 6, and we trust, in a few weeks, to have the pleasure of receiving favourable accounts of these operations.
