Present —His Excellency the Governor, the Colonial Secretary, the Attorney General, the Colonial Treasurer, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Merrimaa. Minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed. The Attorney General brought up the report of the Marriage Bill, which was received and adopted. On the motion of the Attorney General, Council resumed in Committee on the Births, Marriages, and Deaths Registration Bill, Which was considered, amended, and further consideration postponed. On the motion of the Colonial Treasurer, the Debenture Bill was considered in Committee, and further postponed until Tuesday. Oa the motion of the Attorney General, the Fencing Bill was read a first time. On the motion of the Colonial Secretary, the Education Bill was read a first time. Council adjourned till Saturday.
