MODE OF DELIVERY.
7th. — No part whatever of the supplies above tipecified, shall be received in charge of the Commissariat, but shall be delivered by the Contractor direct to the persons entitled thereto; at any place within the limits of the Town, upon the written order of the Commissariat Officer in charge, or of any person authorised by him for that purpose.
GENERAL CONDITIONS.
Bth. — Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this Advertisement, to be accompanied by a statement signed by two competent persons, and expressing their leadiness, in the event of such Tender being acepted, to become security for the due performance of the Contract, which wiil then be entered into. The j penalty of the bond to be equal to the I estimated amount _of two months supplie*, and no supplies will be received until the bond has been duly executed. 9th — Tenders may be sent in, either for the whole of the bupplies required or for any portion of them, except those under the head of "Hospitals," which must all be in one Tender. 10th. — The Contractor to prepare his own account according (o the prescribed form, for the amoun! of which he will be furnibhed with a certificate by the Undersigned, and on the production thereof at the Commisbariat office, at Auckland, he shall receive payment monthly, by a Bill upon the Lords Commissioners of her Majesty's Treasury, at par, when the amount is twenty-five pounds or upwards; when under ihat amount, payment will be made cash. 11th. — In the event of any article offered being objected to as not agreeing with these conditions, it will be submitted to. a Board of Officers, to be appointed by the Officer commanding the Troops, and it" rejected by the Board, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Officer aud charged aganist the ConI tractor, in the event of his neglecting to do so when required. 12th.— It shall be in the power of either party to limit the duration of the contract by giving in writing a notice of three calendar months to the other party. And to cud the contract at the expiration of that period, it being understood that such notice can be given only fiom the first.daj ot a month, and within the period for which the Contract is made or agreed to be made. 13th — Each Tender to be enclosed in a separate envelope, and marked " Tender for Bread," "Tender for Meat," &c, as the case may be r No Tender sent in shali be withdiawn or altered, and notice of those accepted shall be given within three days of the time of opening. In all cases where persons who have tendered, refuse to fulfil their offers upon light or hholous excuses, it will be competent for the Undersigned to decline to receive Tenders from them at any future period. npENDERS will be received by the underJL signed, until Monday next, the 10th inst., at noon, for the purchase of a Commissariat Bill drawn on the Right Honorable the Lords Commissioners of H.M. Treasury, for two hundred pounds. British Gold and Silver coins alone, will be received in payment, and each tender must distinctly express the rate of exchange at which the bill will be taken. G. D.
