NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Tenders will be received by the Undersigned, until Saturday, the Ist day of March next, at noon, for furnishing the Commissariat at Wellington, with the supplies undermentioned, in such quantities as may be required during the twelve calendar months, commencing the Ist April next, under the conditions hereafter specified, viz: — Bread, at per lb. Fresh Meat per ft. Flour, per Ifr. Or,
The ration of bread and meat, consisting of life at each may be tendered at, per ration. Rum, at per imperial gallon. Firewood, of a marketable description at per lOOJ&s. Mould candles, at per ft. Dip caudles, at per fib.
For Hospitals, &c. Arrow root, sago, rice, tea, sugar, oatmeal. •alt 5 , yellow sOap, pearl barley, mixed vegetables, potatoes, and fine bread, at per ft. Milk, at.... per pint. Port wine, at per dozen. Vinegar, at per imperial gallon. Porter at . . per dozen.
CONDITIONS. QUALITIES OF THK SVTTSiIES.
lit. — All the articles to be of the best quality of their several kinds. 2nd.— The flour to be the produce of clean sound Colonial wheat, fiom which 20 per cent, in bran has been extracted. 3rd.—The bread to be made from flour of the same quality as described in the preceeding paragraph, and to be baked 24 hours before • being issued, in loaves of 2fijs each. 4th— -The fresh meat to be issued daily, and to consist of beef and mutton, in equal proportions, to be delivered in fore- and hind quaiters alternately, when the quantity admits of it. When beef is issued, six inches to be cut off the hough and neck bones. sth— The mixed vegetables for the Hospitals and other 'establishments entitled thereto, shall be supplied in reasonable' proportions of greens, onions, &c. 6tli. — Tue rum' to' be West Indian, 5 per cent. tttttf»j*QoX
