A mction was carried that the necessary steps be taken at onca to eecure the appointment of a R>jal Commission for tha purpose of making searching Inquiry into the hospi al management ; that the Minister of Ju tice I be petitioned to at once take such step? as ra*y be necessary to secure the holding of such enquiry, and the form Gf the petition adopted, which, af'er reopitulatioD, the resolution proceeded, " We pray that you will take into consideration the state of pnblio feeling, the large amount of dissatisfaction wi'h the Hospital managrnent, as well <ta (ho unsatisfactory stand taken by th*> Board, and grant the prayer of your petitioners, that the public tniad may b^ set at rest, and the management of one of our most valued institU" lions placed on such a footing as shall restore the public confidence, and prevent what threatens to become a grave scandal."
