THE FINANCES,
Mr Holmes brought under the notice of the Minister the position of the Harbor Boatd interest payments as controlled by the Receiver. The Minister said the Receiver was responsible for his own sot ions. He was a trustee, and the question was one for the consideration of the Crown law officers. He was glad that the Board had brought the matter under his notice. The Chairman thanked tho Minister for hia attention and consideration to the Board's affairs.
