At Kaeo.
The second of the scries of entertainments given by the troupe eventuated at Kaeo last Saturday evening, November 18th. A large audience attended, the sum of £l2 being realised. This added to £24, the gross proceeds of Mangonui concert, inakes a total of £36 which will be, paid into, the ■ hospital fund. Tin? troupe tender their best thanks to the Misses Stephenson (2) and Harris, and Dr. Mnrray-Kcigldy, for their assistance duringtho evening; also to Mr. Jacentho for the use of the hall, and Mr. Connolly that of piano free of cost. As the programme was similar to that in Mangonui,. a report of which appears elsewhere, we do not give a detailed account. It sufficeth that in the, first part the niggers “out - riggered ” themselves, whilst in the second part the vocal and instrumental items given by the Misses Stevenson and Harris are deserving of a special word of praise, being much appreciated by all. The troupe left Karo the following day, highly delighted with the kindness extended to them by the people of Kaeo.
