SECOND LIBERTY LOAN
ACTIVE COMMITTEE AT UPPER MOUTERE Representatives from various areas met at Upper Moutere to discuss the formation of a sub committee covering Upper Moutere. Lower Moutere. Harakeke, Mariri, Tasman. Mapua and Mahana for the purpose of furthering interest in the Second Liberty Loan of £10.000,000. The meeting was held at Harakeke and those present were:— Messrs F. E. Nottage, A. Rowling. H. J. Chignell, J. T. Price, A. E. Lindup, R. Teece, F. H. Drogemuller. W. Couch and D. P. Roughan. An apology was received from Mr J. A. Fraser. After the object of calling the meeting. had been explained by Mr D. P. Roughan. postmaster. Upper Moutere, it was unanimously decided to form a sub-committee to work in the interest of the loan. The following committee was elected: Messrs F. E. Nottage (chairman), D. P. Roughan (secretary), A. Rowling. H. J. Chignell, J. T. Price. A. E. Lindup. F. H. Drogemuller, R Teece, W. Couch J.*A. Fraser. C. A. Newport. J. R. Clark. H. Beuke, C. R Mackay and L. J. Mackay. Matters concerning the activities and line of action were fully and enthusiastically discussed.
