£62 FOIt PATRIOTIC FUND EDUCATION BOARD S APPRECIATION The City Patriotic Committee wrote to the monthly meeting of the Nelson Education Board thanking those responsible for the performance of “The School by the Pond,” and for £O2, the proceeds from the public performance. The committee wished the board to thank all those who helped in the production. Mr A. Robinson moved that a vote of thanks and appreciation be passed to all who had contributed to the success of the performance which formed the major part of the celebrations to commemorate the hundredth anniveisarv of the opening of the first school in NelIn seconding the motion the chairman (the Hon. W. H. Mclnlyre) said he agreed with Mr Robinson’s remarks and he also paid a tribute to all who had assisted. The motion was then carried.
