MESSAGE TO POLES

OCCASION OF INVASION ANNIVERSARY

(Rec. 10.15 a.m.) Rugby, Sept. 1. On the occasion of the third anniversary of the German attack on Poland, Mr Anthony Eden, Foreign Minister, addressed a message to Count Raczynski, Polish Ambassador, and Acting-Foreign Secretary. Mr Eden said: “The example of the Polish people under ruthless oppression at home and of their leaders and armed forces abroad inspires every freedom-loving nation in the world. Fighting in the ranks of the United Nations, Great Britain and Poland are pledged to carry on the common struggle until the day of victory restores greatness to Poland and freedom to her peoples.”—B.O.W.
