MANUFACTURE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO CEASE
(Rec. 9.30 a.m ) New York, Sept. 1. A War Production Board official announced that the manufacture of alcoholic beverages will cease on Ist November, ar*er which distilleries will product only industrial alcohol. Present supplies of liquors are expected to last four or five years. Brewing will continue. —P.A.
