FUNDS FOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE Members of the Richmond Home Guard use the local school grounds for training. They parade on the tennis courts. It appealed to | the Home Guard and is now able to announce that w r ith the co-oyeration of the Guard an Open Air Show will be held on Saturday afternoon. 12th September. to raise funds required. The Home Guard will parade and will hold displays of squad drill, bayonet fighting, bombing, etc. Seven-a-side school football, ladies’ senior basketball and sporting attractions arranged for. There will be a concert party, also bagpipes, fancy dress and decorat ed bicycles and ‘•trikes.” proms and other conveyances. A well-stocked produce still will do business and there will be afternoon tea. Last, but not least, there will be no speeches.
