REFUSAL TO DECLARE STRIKE LABOUR OFFICIALS HELD CAPTIVE (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 12th January, 10.10 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. In an effort to force tlie Trades Labour Council to declare a general strike following on the riots on Friday, hundreds of unemployed barricaded the building at night and kept the delegates captive until 5.00 in the morning. The imprisoned included many prominent Labour officials and several women. The council refused to reconsider,their decision hot to call a general strike.
