DIED IN THE WILDERNESS
NEW ZEALANDER A VICTIM BODIES FOUND BY POLICE 'United Proas Association— By Electrio , Telegraph—Copyright) PERTH, This Day. The coroner has just completed inquiry into the deaths of two men in the wilderness beyond Wiluna. The victims are a New Zealander, Henry Dyer, aged 55, arid Laurie Raunio, aged 30, a native of Finland. It is believed that the pair went kangaroo hunting and lost themselves. They suffered ter ribly from thirst and apparently made a pact of suicide. Their guns were held by the feet, and the barrels directed to their throats. Dyer’s head was partially blown off. The police found the bodies three days later. The ground was too hard to dig ( graves so the bodies were covered with bushes. The coroner brought in a verdict of double suicide apparently to avoid lingering deaths by thirst.
