County cricket results were as" follows : Surrey in the first innings made 429 Sandham 130, Wilson 110, Fender- 73, and in the second innings 246 lor five (declared)—Hobbs 150 not out. Kent in the fiiist innings made 402 Handing 141, Ames 106, Allom taking five fpr 89, and in the second 133 for four wickets. Surrey won on the first innings. Middlesex in the first innings made 219—Russel 66, Haig 63, and in the second innings 204, Mayer taking five for 63. Warwick in the first innings made 277—Wyatt 125, Durstom taking four for 63, and in the second 226 for eight wickets—Kilner 70. Warwick won by two wickets. Hampshire in the first innings made 223—Harfield 89, and in the second innings 308 for eight wickets (declared) — Brown 98, Kennedy 65 not out. Sussex in the first innings made 238, Kennedy taking four for 67, and Newman four for 85, and in the second innings 163 for two—Parks 62 not out. Sussex won on the first innings. Lancashire in the first innings ijiade 380—Watson 81, E. Tyldesley 77, R. Tyldesley 84, and in the second innings 73 for four. Leicester in the first innings made 453—Dawson 96. Shipman 87, Armstrong 102. Leicester won on the first .innings. , Yorkshire in the first innings made 498—Holmes 285, Rhodes 79, Voce taking four for 99. Nottingham in the first innings made 190 for four wickets. The match was drawn. Worcester in the first innings made 2i9_Gibbons 101 not out, and Parker four for 84, and in the second 206—Fox 65 Barnett taking five for 63 and Parker four for 53. Gloucester in the first innings made 178, Jackson taking four for 94, and in the second 251 for twoDipper 66, Lyon 87 not out. Gloucester won bv seven wickets. Essex in the first innings made 315, and in the second 249 for five wickets (declared). Nort.hants in the first innings made 131, and in the second 181. Essex won bv 252 runs. Glamorgan' in the first innings made 249 and in the second 287 for five (declared). Derby in the first innings made 263, and in the second 83 for one. Derby won on the first innings.
