Melbourne, Tuesday. In the Legislative Assembly to night the debate on tbe vote of waut of confidence in the Ministry was reaumeJ, and is still (10 SO p.m.) proceedlag. Wednesday. The Royal Princes, tho Marquis of Nor-, manby, Eirl ClanwilliacQ, and a large party proceeded this morning on a visit to Ballarat. Tbe Legislative Assembly sat to a late hour last night on the no-confidence motion. The debate wo 3 finally, however, adjourned; until l o-day. Tee Government were twice defeated on divisions during tbe sitting on: the question of tbe adjournment of the debate. ] Adelaide, Tuesday. Id ibs Legislative Council to-day tbe Hon. J. C. Bray, Premier of the new Ministry, made a statement in which he announced that a measure would be introduced for the reform of the Legislative Council. The Bill • would provide for the adoption of the Nor- . wegian schema in ordsr to prevent deadlocks. ; He further stated that proposals would be . submitted for the impoaition of a property tax, and for the extension of railways in the colony.
