This .school was examined on the 17th iH9tant by Mr Malcolm, when the foltowing children were the successful competitors.-— First Class: Albert Boddington 1, George Rutherford 2. Second Class: Ellen Rutherford 1, George Boddington 2, Robert Boddington 3, Joseph Price 4. Philip Pissenden 5, Ellen Morrison (J. Third Class: Ernest Rutherford i. Hugh Brevverton 2, Victor Price 3. Charles Robertson 4, Jane Nesbit H. Fourth riass: Joseph Bateman 1, Joseph Thomas 2, Albert. Robertson 3. Fifth Class: Mary Ann Batemau 1, Ada Smith 2, Florence Colthart :?. Sixth Closs: Henry Bunn 1, Henrietta Thomas 2, Maggie Robertson 3. Pri2a for #ood attendance James Hutherford; On the following Tuesday the children were entertained at tea, when a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The IFakefield Brass Band enlivened the proceedings with music, and the young people danced till the small hours of the next morniug. The prizes were distributed to the children in the afternoon by Mr George Holland. About Bixty adults and sixty children sat down to tea.
