LOWER WAKEFIELD.

The annual examination took place on the 21st and 23rd instant, the examiners being Mr Malcolm for the girls and the Re? C Moon for the boys, the latter gentleman Kindly undertaking the duties in the place of Mr Shephard, who was suffering from a bad cold. Both the examiners expressed their great satisfaction at the progress that had been made. Some really good maps were exhibited by the first class in the girls' school, especially one by Miss Annie Fairhall, which was strongly commended. The following are the prize-takers:— Girls.
