The revenue for the current year is estimated at £1,855,000. and the expenditure £2,070,000, leaving an estimated deficit of £254,000, exclusive of the supplementary estimates, which it is proposed to be covered by new rates of sixpence in the pound on incomes derived from interest, threepence in the pound on capital invested in business, and threepence in the pound on incomes exceeding £300 per aunum.
