[PRESS AGENCr.I Wellington, Wednesday. Mr Izard, a lawyer, will contest the country districts, against Mr Brandon, the present representative. Mr G. Williams left for Wairarapa yesterday to bring down a ton of 3tone from the railway, at which he and his party have been working for some time. It is understood that the programme of the j Ministers will be, the Financial Statement on Thursday, and the Public Works Statement on Friday. The House will probably sit that night till the business is completed, and the formal dissolution will take place on the Monday following. The publicans bad another meeting respecting the sale of beer, and it is expected they will not reduce the prices.
