WESLEYAN DISTRICT MEETING.

SECOND DAT. The session opened vfith praise, prayer being offered by the Rev. G. S. Harper. The first business of the day was the consideration of the question "Do we recommend the alteration of any circuit in this district ? " It was resolved that the Wanganui circuit, be divided as requested by the Wanganui quarterly meeting, Patea to be the bead of the new circuit. The question of dividing; the Nelson circuit was deferred till after the . sitting of the financial meeting, which takes place on Monday next. The meeting ' recommended that the second minister of .•the Hokitika circuit be withdraw-}.,* „*-.; . , The circuits asking for additional preachers at the ensuing Conference are Wanganui and Blenheim; the applications were sustained. Under the question " What new stations do we propose to occupy ? " It was strongly recommended that a minister be sent as speedily as possible to labor in the Hawke's Bay Province. The following order of stations for the ensoiog year was provisionally recommended :— Wellington. — W. Morley, J; S. Lewis Maori Mission. — Hetaraka Maraka Hutt. — J. B. Richardson Greytown.— J. Law Wanganui, — J. Berry j G. Stannard, [supernumary Patea.— J. S. Smalley. Rapgitikei. — T. F. Reeve Neleon —T. Buddie, W. Keall Motueka. — W. B. Marten Blenheim. — G. S. Harper; one to bd sent Hokitika. — J. S. Rishworth Greymouth.— 'D. McNicoll > Napier.— -Candidate. As the first New Zealand Conference is to be held at Christchurch in January , next, all the ministers in full connexion received permission to attend,

The official sermon was preached in the; evening to a large congregation by the Rev. W. Morley, from the text Acts ii., 1-4. It was a powerful sermon, and all felt it good to be there.. At the close of the service the ministers and members united in partaking of the Lord's Supper,
