RIFLE MATCH.
A friendly rifle match has taken place between the Taranaki and- Nelson • Foresters, twelve men aside. The ranges were, 200 yds, target 6ft. x 2ft., Bih. bull's eye; 400 yds and 500 yds, target 6ft. x 6ft., position any throughout. The Taranaki ' team fired last Friday, iWheir total score being 338. The Nelson team fired yes- , terday morning, when they only scored 487, thus loosing by 51 points; there was a drizzling rain all the time they were firing.
