' Melbourne, 21st November, 2 p.m. — The Cabinet is considering the question of arrest'ng Dr. Murray for atrocities committed on board the farl. Dr. Murray holds a pardon from the British Consul at Fiji. It is understood in select circles in Melbourne that Sir James Feigusson is about to marry Miss Davis, a niece of the Hon. W. Degrave, of the Legislative Council. The lady is highly accomplished. The marriage will probably take place before Sir James goes home. ■Adklaide, 21st November, 1 pm. — Sir James Fergusson leaves for England by the December mail, when Chief Justice Hanson will assume the Government. Sir James is due in New Zealand on the Ist March, but has obtained leave to the Ist May. Arrangements are being made for giving him a valedictory dinner.
