Harvest in Otago has just commenced. The acreage under crop in that province in 1868-69 was 152,568 acres, but this year it is far greater. The official returns, however, will not be published until February. It is said that ample employment will be afforded to some hundreds of hands for the next two or three months. A Grand Open-air Concert was given in the Domain, Sydney, December 22, Jby the united bands of the ships of the Flying Squadron, in aid of the funds for raising a statue to Captain Cook. It was largely attended, and the sum of £90 was netted.
