LOCAL NEWS.
RESIDENT MAGISTEATE'S COURT. This Dat. Before J. Sharp, Esq., R.M., James Hargreaves was charged with assaulting his wife yesterday morning. Fined 20s and costs. John Burt was charged by Frederick Bockmann with stealing two pairs of boots from his house in the Moutere on 23rd ult. Prisoner admitted the offence and was sentenced to four months' imprisonment with hard labor.
