PRESS V. PLATFORM.
Platform utterances can't convince people as a newspaper can. A speech can touch only on a few phases of. a big question; a hewspaper can dial with scores. The uttered word soon fades from memory; the printed word sticks, especially if it be repeated day after day or week after week. A speech reaches only a few ears, which mostly belong to the heads of families. The newspaper can go into every home, and can talk to every inmate.—"Westralian Worker."
