CHRISTCHURCH PROTEST.
A meetirfg of proteist a-gainst ths imprisonment of Waihi strikers was held' iv Cathedral" Square on Sunday afternoon: and addressed by several prominent adherents of the Federation of Labor. Resolutions were carried calling upon' the Government to immediately release the 45 men now in Mt. Eden jail and congratulating the men and women of Waihi on their magnificent display of solidarity in the fight against an attempt by the "gold kings" to reintroduce the murdering process blown as the competitive contract system. In the evening E. J. Howard spoke to a crowded audience on "Waihi Strike Matters."
