HUNTLY SOCIALISTS.
A AA-ell-attended.'.Socialist concert was held on August 5. At a meeting ot the Party, held on Sunday morning, Aaoust 13 the following resolution was passed:—"That Aye, the members of the Huntly S.P., deprecate the tyrannical practice of the gaoling ot courageous boys who have conscientious objections to military training, and we call upon all the workers of tins country-to organise industrially for the overthi'OAv of a Government that wields such a despotic power." Down by "The Log" another Avellattcncled meeting was held in theeveniuo-, when members E. Hunter, chairman W. J. Patterson, J. E. Duncan, and H. Beck delivered telling addresses upon the av< vking class movement. One .notable feature about the numbers of the "Huntlv Press" lately is the overlapping of lines. This, no doubt, is due to the -revolutionary matter introduced uixm the machine at so short a notice —Billy Banjo.
