N.Z. Airmen’s Great Record in South Pacific

Received Tuesday, 11.55 p.m. SYDNEY, March 21. After inspecting Australian aircraft factories the Chief of the New Zealand Air Staff (Commodore Isitt) said he was greatly impressed with the advances made in Australian aircraft production. He is in Australia on a liaison visit and is conferring with the R.A.A.F. staff on operational problems. He paid a tribute to the work of the R.N.Z.A.F. in the South Pacific and said that in the Solomons the New Zealand fighter squadrons had built up a great reputation, being credited with the confirmed destruction of 99 enemy aircraft.
